Remediation is not permit-heavy, so the flood map serves as a record rather than a requirement. A parcel with lake or stormwater flooding history changes what an assessment should search for — contamination inside cavities from an earlier event rather than only visible growth. Central Florida humidity is a separate, constant driver that has nothing to do with any flood.

Citywide mapping cannot tell you whether your property has taken water, what is inside the wall cavity, or what is keeping material damp now. Establish history with the city and the current source with an assessor who does not sell the removal.
